Is it safe for students? What about their data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The clicker votes are anonymous and never tied to a student's name — there's nothing to install on student devices, no accounts, and no student data is stored or leaves the room. We bring our own phones in kiosk mode and our own network. The only internet use is the presenter's live chatbot demo, run on our device on the projector.

What does the live chatbot show — is the content age-appropriate?

Every chatbot prompt is scripted and pre-tested for a grades 8–12 audience, and we carry backup screenshots so nothing depends on a live surprise. Students never type into the AI themselves — the presenter drives it, on the projector, the whole time.

Does a teacher need to be in the room?

We ask that a teacher stays for supervision, but they don't need to prepare or co-present — the session runs end to end on its own. Many teachers tell us they pick up prompt-craft ideas they reuse afterwards.

Do students need their own devices?

No. We bring a fleet of ~50 phones in kiosk mode, locked to the voting app. Students just tap to vote. There's nothing to install and no student data leaves the room.

How is this different from a generic 'AI in education' talk?

Anyone can tell students to 'use AI responsibly.' We teach them how, with material drawn from Kahneman, Cathy O'Neil and the SIFT fact-checking method — run as live experiments on a real chatbot, not slides. Students feel a thinking bug in their own heads, then watch the AI make the same mistake seconds later. Your staff get recap notes and reusable tools afterwards.

Is it a lecture or a workshop?

Neither, really. It's story-driven and highly interactive: we run live experiments on the room, then mirror them on a real AI on the projector. Students are voting and reacting throughout.

Do students get anything to take away? Is there follow-up?

Teachers get recap notes after each session, and the core tools — the Ladder of Misinference and the SIFT method — are designed to be reused in any class the next day.

Grades 8–12 (roughly ages 13–18). The material is pitched to be rigorous without being condescending, and works across that range.

A room that seats your group, a projector with audio, and a couple of power sockets near the front. That's it — we handle the rest.

Not for the clicker — it runs on our own local network for speed and reliability. We only need internet for the live chatbot demo, and we carry tested fallbacks in case the connection drops.

Yes. Each of the four is fully standalone. Many schools start with Session 1 and add the rest across a term once they've seen it land.
